In an effort to rebuild our flock and keep it safe, we took a trip to our 2 favorite bird suppliers in Vermont. @sugarfeathervt was able to get us set with an Ayam Cemani roo, hen, and a Roman Tufted Goose. As a startup, the current operation involves keeping the seed starts in our downstairs office where it stays nice and warm. Once they're tall enough, they're then shifted into plastic greenhouses in the side yard. On nights where it's set to get below 40°F, the Sprouts then need to be brought back inside. It's a long process, taking about 1.5 hours to put them out, then again to bring them back in.
